letter crowded in the title

Hi, NCL group users:

I have some questions about my attached picture. It is produced by gsn_csm_xy2 function and it is not a panel plot. There are four subfigure in one page. Since I can not make the desiried vpWidthF by gsn_panel, I then draw each figure one by one on one page. There are still mininor problems:

(1)if you see the left y axis titles, you will notice the first is ¡°bias¡± and the second looks like ¡°bIas¡±. Similar problem for the legend exists in the first subfigure. ¡°bias¡± looks like ¡°bLas¡±. For the right y axis title ¡°wind¡±, the letter ¡°i¡± looks bold than the other letters. I notice letter ¡°i¡± and ¡°l¡± are easier to seems crowed. Sometimes changing the fontHeightF value works. But right now I don¡¯t want to change the font size.

(2)for the legend. I have resources for both left and right y axes. Although I set pmLegengOrthogonalPosF to be the same for two y aixs, the legend doesn¡¯t stay at the same level. So I ajusted them to be

                   res@pmLegendOrthogonalPosF = ¨C0.12
                   res2@pmLegendOrthogonalPosF = ¨C0.3
my question is why they can not be the same, since they are in the same subfigure.

thanks for aswering my questions!
