Re: Function call for a different sort of phase diagram

If I were to phrase the same question differently why does the
function call mjo_phase_background hardcode the names of the different
phases i.e. Indian Ocean, Maritime Continent, Western Pacific and
Western Hemisphere and Africa ? Plus why is there a limit on the
number of phases to be eight ?
