Re: TRMM 3B42 V7 HDF files

As mentioned the NASA mirador site offers the option to have the files
transformed from HDF=>netCDF. Download the http file names and use the
'wget' command as indicated by NASA. To download all the files will take
some time. I have the 3-hrly data grouped by year-month (1998-2013). Each
file is 571MB. If you have only a small period for which you need the data,
I could make that available via ftp. I can not make the entire archive
available. A sample 'ncdump -h' for August, 8 attached. Note: These files
contain *only* precipitation.
