gsn_csm_xy doesn't honor linecolor and linethickness resources?

I try to use gsn_csm_xy and set line colors and thicknesses using:

                  xyLineColor
                  xyMonoLineThickness
                  xyLineThicknessF

But it is always B&W. How can I do this?
