TO my knowledge, there are no geophysical datasets internal to
NCL that has the appropriate river information.
You will have to provide the coordinates of the river(s)
and then use, say, gsn_polyline to draw the 'river'

This approach may have the advantage of drawing different rivers
with different thicknesses or colors.
