Sample NCL Workshop Survey

     1) Are you already an NCL user? If so, for how long?
        
     2) What do you hope to gain from this workshop?

     3) Are you familiar with the netCDF data format?  (NCL is based
        on the netCDF data model.) If so, in what context?

     4) What types of data formats do you work with (e.g. ASCII,
        binary, netCDF, HDF, HDF-EOS, GRIB1, GRIB2)?

     5) Do you work with data from a specific model, like WRF or CCSM,
        and if so, what model data will you be using NCL to process?

     6) Are there any particular data analysis capabilities you would
        like to learn? (For example, regridding data, climatologies,
        EOFs, interpolations, etc.)

     7) What sort of visualizations would you like to make?

     8) The visualization and I/O capabilities of NCL are available in
        a couple of Python modules. Would this be of interest to you?

     9) What is your current position (undergrad, grad student,
        postdoc, scientist, computer programmer, etc.)?

    10) What are your current scientific objectives?

    11) Are you working in an operational setting? If so, give some
        details.

    12) Do you desire to adapt NCL to a web based or automated tool?
