having trouble running the examples

I'm a new NCL user here. I'm trying to run the examples on the ncl website,
but I keep getting an error message when I try to run the examples with the
ng4ex command listed on the site: "ng4ex gsun01n"

I get this error message:

fatal:error in statement
ncl 6> ng4ex gsun01
fatal:syntax error: line 6 before or near gsun01
ng4ex gsun01
-----------^
