As Saji indicates the above can be used to develop
the weigts of the desired filter. This depends on how the
data are sampled.
Example 3 of

shows how you might use the weights returned bu filwgts_lancos
Basically,
wts = filwgts_lancos (...)
yhigh = wgt_runave(y, wts, opt)
