Did you check the wrf web for WRF post-processing software?

You can download the sample scripts at the link "NCAR NCL scripts to
process and view WRF model output in netCDF
<http://www.mmm.ucar.edu/wrf/src/wrf_ncl-2.1.tar.gz>". You can directly
read WRF files in NCL without any conversion.
