rcm2rgrid: how does it work?

Hi everyone,
I am trying to use rcm2rgrid to convert RCM data on a native, rotated
grid to regular lat/lon gridded data. I am calling the script correctly,
and it works, giving me output on a regular grid. However, the success
of my script varies depending on which RCM I apply it to. If I average
the values over my area of interest on the native grid and then on the
regular grid after rcm2rgrid, I find significant differences are
introduced in some models by the regridding while others agree quite
well. So I am wondering does anyone know how the rcm2rgrid function
carries out its interpolations? I think maybe that could be a clue to
what is going wrong. Has anyone experienced such a problem before?
Thanks in advance for any help
Aideen
