Re: problem with dimensions but type "foundation"

Without seeing readsst.ncl, I can only speculate.

The sst is of type "short". Did you 'unpack' the variable before
using it???

    load "$NCARG_ROOT/lib/ncarg/nclscripts/csm/contributed.ncl"
    f = addfile (....)
    sst = short2flt( f->sst )
    printVarSummary(sst0
