Well, mechanically, the

function can be used to create a time series. Just place the reordered
varimax eigenvector patterns into the calling sequence.
Note: Conventional EOF analysis yields EOF patterns that are all
orthogonal and the reconstructed amplitude time series are independent.
However, after rotating the EOFs, the orthogonal restraint has been
compromised. This confounds the interpretation of the time series resulting
from projecting the rotated EOFs onto the data.
