Raza,
Rain rate is usually in mm per hour.
And it varies with time, a lot.
So, from WRF output, you can get rain rate (rain2 - rain1)/(t2 -t1).
But that is the average rain rate of (t2 - t1).
If your want to get a more accurate rain rate, you need to get into
WRF model, and calculate rain rate each time step.
