2D histogram?

Hello

I would like to draw a 2D histogram of model (x) versus observations (y).
An example of this type of graph can be found in
http://addictedtor.free.fr/graphiques/RGraphGallery.php?graph=70. The lines
on the axes are not necessary for my purpose.

I think I know how to do it, but maybe someone has already drawn such a
thing???
