Hi Michael,

This is an unadvertised feature, but gsn_csm_xy2 returns an attribute called "xy2"
that represents the id of that second curve. You can use this with gsn_polymarker.
See example 26 at http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Applications/xy.shtml, which does
something similar for curves.
