Masking and PrintVarSummary

Hello,

I'm using the masking feature to filter out certain values of a WRF file.
I'd like to count the new total number of grid points (values) that were
"kept". Is using PrintVarSummary appropriate? It prints the total number of
values, but that includes Fill Values. Is there a way to distinguish the
two?
