missing data values

Hi, I'm plotting skew-T's from a text file and I have some missing wind data, both direction and speed, but it's not missing at all levels.  I tried using -999. for wind speed and direction at those particular levels but the plot came out weird with a stack of wind barbs at the missing levels. --Steve
