Thanks for the help, explanations and an eventual solution. We've got
THIS bug smacked down. Dave Allured, sorry for not being completely
consistent in my description in the body. We were seeing a NaN when we
read in the values, primarily due to a type mismatch. With Dennis help,
Donna was able to code around it. We're in good shape now.

I'll be sending a note after the next meeting about a curly vector
problem I've got with these datasets... More things to (re)learn.
