perspective of a contour plot

Hi all,
how can I tilt or change perspective of a contour plot like in
http://www.nature.com/nclimate/journal/v2/n8/images/nclimate1495-f1.jpg

i tried options using mpProjection as "Satellite" ; "NDC" and seeting
coordinates and angles, till now none worked.
