Another approach

   yyyymm = f->time
   yyyy = yyyymm/100
   mm = yyyymm - (yyyy*100)
   imm = ind(mm.ge.9 .and. mm.le.11)

   x = f->X(imm,:,:)
   printVarSummary(x)
   print(x&time)
