This does not tell us much.

In your original script you had

  res@cnLevelSpacingF = 0.5 ; contour spacing

We do not kmow what

   in = addfile("med_c0.nc","r")
   t = short2flt(in->med_c0) ; convert to float

contains.

Comment that line and let NCL determine the spacing.
