Hi Agnes,
I think if you look closely at this plot you will see that the max and min latitudes show up just as documented. Also you can get a plot that looks similar to
the GrADS plot, with tfDoNDCOverlay set to True. You need to set some other resources to make the data match the projection space. I am attaching a script that does that.
