Hi Christian,

Here's a file for you to try, but I'm not sure it will help:

ftp ftp.ucar.edu
[Login as anonymous with email address as password]
cd pub/scd/haley
get ncl_ncarg-5.2.0.Linux_x86_64_gcc346.tar.gz

This was compiled with gcc 3.4.6 and gfortran 4.1.2.
