Dear NCL support,
I am having the following error message with a downloaded ncl/5.2.0 binary file.
% ncl -V
ncl: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.7' not found (required by ncl)
The binary file I used is: ncl_ncarg-5.2.0.Linux_x86_64_nodap_gcc432.tar (since there is no gcc412 version in the database).
The version I downloaded for ncl/5.1.1 works for us. The binary file I used is: ncl_ncarg-5.1.1.Linux_x86_64_gcc412.tar
This "GLIBC_2.7 not found" is the same error message as posted in:
http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Support/install_archives/2010/0070.html
And a new binary built with an old gcc version helped.
Our system information are as follows:
% gcc --version
gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 20070115 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux)

Would a ncl/5.2.0 built with gcc/4.1.2 help us too? Could you please provide it for us?
Thanks!
Helen He
