Hello

 gcc --version is

But, when I attempt the NCL version 5.2.1 gcc 346 (OPeNDAP) , Error message is

ncl: /lib64/libgcc_s.so.1: version `GCC_4.0.0' not found (required by ncl)ncl failed

I think that you might have installed the wrong NCL binary for your system.

You installed the one that was compiled with gcc 4.3.2, but from the output you sent
me, it looks like you have an older version of gcc.

What does the following report?

   gcc --version

If it says something like "4.1.x" or "4.2.x", then I suggest downloading one of the
gcc412 binaries instead.

Please read:

for more information about which binary to download.

But, I can't found out the file.
This is error message .
[trc1003@sonamu /]$ locate libgfortran.so.1
Normally, libgfortran will be found in /usr/lib or /usr/local/lib
If you have an rpm based operating system, then you can
use the command

rpm -q libgfortran

to see if some version of this library is installed.
Then you could run

rpm -q --filesbypkg libgfortran

to see where the files are. Your original error message suggested
that you needed "libgfortran.so.3" so you might have the library
installed, but not the right version. If you don't have the rpm command,
then "uname -a" might give us more information.
