Dear Mary,

Hi,

I am having a problem in compiling *Vis5D+* software.

If I compile like what you said in the NCL site:

./configure --prefix=/usr/local --with-netcdf=/usr/local/lib/libnetcdf.a

supposing that I am using netcdf as you suggested:
NetCDF <http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/> - do
not install if you are only doing an NCAR Graphics build.

Download version 4.1.1 or later (do *not* download 4.1.0).

The program can not find the netcdf library although I use
--with-netcdf=/usr/local/lib/libnetcdf.a
and this is the exact place of the library.

But, If I install netcdf 3.6.3 the program will be compiled with no problem
at all.

Please tell me in order to use vis5d in NCL how I should compile it? using
netcdf v4 or 3?

Another question vis5d looks for* mixkit library*. Is this library necessary
in NCL, I mean I should compile this one or it is not important in NCL.

Thank you very much for your great work and support.

Best regards,

Yaser
