writing hdfeos file

Dear NCL users,
Just curious if it possible to write data to an hdf eos file using NCL?
If so, how would one do so? I can create an .hdf using addfile create,
but not .hdfeos. I am using NCL version 4.2.0.a028. Perhaps this option
is not available, but I thought it was?
