Dear all,

I am trying to use vinth2p_ecmwf function to
interpolate CCSM3 output data U,V,Q,T, Z3 to certain
pressure levels. There are three options for
interpolation type (intyp): Linear, Log,and Log-Log. I
guess I can use Linear for U and V, and LOG for T and
Z3. However, I don't know which type is the best for Q
(specific humidity). Do I have to convert Q to
relative humidity first and then use Linear method?

There are also varflg argument for variable types. I
am wondering if I set variable type (such as: 1 =
temperature, -1 = geopotential height, 0 = all
others), do I still need to care about the intyp type
above?

I greatly appreciate any comments or suggestions.

Guangyu Wu
