Hi Simon,

Did you search some gentoo package for compatibility with f77/g77?
With Fedora Core, I should install a package named
'compat-libf2c-32-3.2.3-47.fc4' and all programs that need this library
runs perfectly.
Or, did you search this file in your system? Sometimes they exist but
aren't in the library path search.
