Xie Xin,

I think I see what the problem is. You are trying to panel two plots
that are not the same size. In order for the gsn_panel procedure to
work correctly, it wants all of the plots to be the same size. As
such, it gets information about the plots from the first plot in the
list. Your first plot is smaller that the second one, so the scale
factor for both plots is slightly off.

Using the script you sent me, I will show you another way to maximize
your plots.
