overline/underline strings

Dear All,

is there a way to realize NCL strings to be underlined, overlined etc.?

For example for Reynolds stress:
____
u'v'

corresponding to $\overline{u'v'}$ in LaTeX notation.

If there is no official support for such string modifications,
workarounds would also be appreciated.

Kind regards,
Marcus Letzel
