Re: ncl warning message

Hi,

I think that either the NCARG_ROOT environment variable is not set or
not set correctly, or else the NCL software was not fully installed.

You need to setenv NCARG_ROOT to the *parent* directory of the "bin"
directory where the "ncl" executable resides. For example, if you type
"which ncl" and it reports "/usr/local/bin", then NCARG_ROOT should
be set to /usr/local.

Once you do this, make sure the colormaps were installed by typing:

    ls $NCARG_ROOT/lib/ncarg/colormaps

You should see around 70 or more files in this directory, ending in
".gb", ".rgb", and ".ncmap".

Send me a personal email if you don't see these files.
