Hi Ian,
I wrote some code while working with monthly data from the IPCC models.
When I wrote the code, my intention was to transform the different
time-coordinates in the different models to a standard one with units
"days since 1900-01-01". The attached code (cal.ncl) can handle 'no_leap',
'365_day' and '360_day' calendars besides gregorian or standard.
Sorry it is not documented, but hopefully you will have no problem in
figuring out the code and adapting it for your use.
