Input in flex scanner failed

Hello,

While executing a long NCL script (which computes averages over 100 NetCDF
files), at some point - in the middle of a 'print' output - I get the
message 'input in flex scanner failed' (on stderr, I think). The script
continues running after that and (apparently) produces the expected
output. What does it mean? Should I be concerned about it?
