land elevation (m)

Hi ncl-group,

I have a funny question.

Do anyone know how to compute the land elevation (in meters) from the
coupled CCSM outputs?
I was thinking (1) to interpolate the atmospheric temperature profile
from the hybrid vertical grid to a metric vertical grid and (2) find
the surface elevation with the surface temperature variable.
Do anybody know a simplest and more accurate method?
