Making a wrf_contour plot wider

Hi,

wrf_contour seems to set the plot width to equal the diagram width. With
a narrow diagram, this causes the main title and times displayed at the
top (in the left and right corners, respectively) to overlap. How can I
make the whole plot wider to pull them apart? I tried passing various
values of vpWidthF and vpHeightF to wrf_contour with no apparent effect.
