CCSM3 use of vinth2p

Hi-
I am using the data files:
b30.030e.cam2.h0.T.1980-01_cat_1989-12.nc

I would like to know which method I need to use to convert from model
coordinates to pressure surfaces:
http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Applications/Scripts/vert_1.ncl
Or
http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Applications/Scripts/vert_2.ncl
