Tong,

The original coordinates of the data points, and displaying the
data, are separate issues.

If your data files include the lats and lons of each grid point in
any format that can be read by NCL, then theoretically NCL can
display your data without much problem. The original map
projections become irrelevant.

Is it is acceptable to display your data in some of the many other
projections supported by NCL?
