Show a grey frame to represent 76/77 climate shift...

Hi Everyone,

 I have a time series. The X varies from 1950-2008 and Y from -30 to 30. I
want to put a transparent grey frame from 1976-78 to represent 1976/77
climate shift....Is it possible in NCL?

Any help would be appreciated..
