how to calculate average of seasonal means

dear ncl users

I am using NCEP/DOE AMIP-II Reanalysis wind data and have calculated
seasonal means from 1998 to 2004 of wind speed with CDO(Climate Data
Operators).
The data files are separated by years

I would like to calculate average of each season from 1998 to 2004, ie,
average of season 1 from 1998 to 2004, average of season 2 from 1998 to
2004.

Can anyone suggests me a script ou a hint to help to solve my problem?
