Determine if point is in domain

Hi All -

If I have the attributes of a map plot

(mpProjection , mpLimitMode, mpLeftCornerLatF and LonF and mpRightCornerLatF
and LonF, mpCenterLonF and mpCenterLatF)

is there a function that I can use to determine if a point x(lon,lat) is
contained in this domain?
