wavelet (power spectrum) rectification bias

I am wandering if the wavelet fortran code of Torrence and Compo in ncl
has the rectification of the bias, as proposed by Liu et.al (2007,
JAOT), applied?
If not, as I suppose, how can be done? Editing the source and
recompiling? Adding a new routine in place to the standard one?
Is this possibility planned in future ncl release or even in next one?
How people have handled the problem since the publication of that paper?
