convert .adf with NCL ?

Hi NCL folk

I'm a newbie and want to convert a .adf file (antecessor of GRIB) OR a .bil
(also GIS related file) to a netCDF file using NCL.
I looked up FAQ and archiv but did not find out whether it's possible or
not.

Is this possible ?
