Re: a tiff file format cannot be identified by ncl

Hi,

While you can't currently read a tiff directly with NCL (I don't know
about future versions), a work-around is to use gdal_translate to
convert the tiff into NetCDF (presuming your GDAL package has been
compiled to support NetCDF). Check out example #9 at:

and gdal at:

  http://gdal.org

I'd be interested in hearing about how you'd like to use tiff with
NCL...
