WRF streamline

Hi,

I have a WRF output file and would like to plot the streamline. There are
example scripts provided by WRF to plot cross section, the scripts includes
3d interpolation. But I have seen one ncl script that don't need
interpolation skills (
http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Applications/Scripts/WRF_lc_9.ncl). I wonder if
interpolation is needed when using WRF output to plot the streamline.
