ESMF_regrid

Hi:
I am using ESMF_regrid to interpolate an unstructured grid to a 1 deg x
1deg latitude longitude grid. When my input unstructured mesh (40962
cells) is quasi-uniform, I do not have issues using EMSF_regrid. When my
input unstructured mesh (153762 cells) includes a refined area, meaning
that the horizontal resolution varies between 120 km and 23 km, then I
get the following error message:

warning:FileSetFileOption: invalid file or format
fatal:systemfunc: cannot create child process:[errno=12]
fatal:["Execute.c":8128]:Execute: Error occurred at or near line 952 in
file $NCARG_ROOT/lib/ncarg/nclscripts/esmf/ESMF_regridding.ncl

fatal:["Execute.c":8128]:Execute: Error occurred at or near line 3013 in
file $NCARG_ROOT/lib/ncarg/nclscripts/esmf/ESMF_regridding.ncl

fatal:["Execute.c":8128]:Execute: Error occurred at or near line 3122 in
file $NCARG_ROOT/lib/ncarg/nclscripts/esmf/ESMF_regridding.ncl

fatal:["Execute.c":8128]:Execute: Error occurred at or near line 350 in
file interpolation_forTCtracks.ncl

I do not know if the error comes because of the increased size of the
mesh, or the fact that the unstructured mesh is not uniform. A hint on
helping solving this issue would be greatly appreciated.
