    H,

    this looks like you do not have $NCARG_ROOT set correctly.

    you should set this in the same file that controls your path.
    I beleive but don't know for sure but I think ncl on anchorage is in
    /usr/local/bin

    so
    setenv NCARG_ROOT /usr/local/bin

    then make sure $NCARG_ROOT/bin is in your path.
