Hi Bruce,
If you are requesting the x/y points that define a
specific contour isoline, then this is not available at
the user level. These are calculated in an internal function
and there is no interface to retrieve this information.
---- Although not germane to your specific question, there are examples of 'spaghetti' plots: http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Applications/tigge.shtml Example 1-3 http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Applications/conOncon.shtml Example 5 Regards D Lunde, Bruce N CIV NAVOCEANO, NP1 wrote: > Hello, > > Is it possible to extract certain contours > from on input NetCDF file into an NCL variable ? > > In other words, can I read a gridded NetCDF file > into NCL, run it through a contour routine, and > have access to the contour level segments (which > I could then manipulate or save to a text file) ? > > Thanks, Bruce > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > _______________________________________________ > ncl-talk mailing list > List instructions, subscriber options, unsubscribe: > http://mailman.ucar.edu/mailman/listinfo/ncl-talk > -- ====================================================== Dennis J.
