center axis in xy plot

Hello ncl talkers,

I am trying to draw a xy plot using gsn_xy. desired plot has axis at center
rather than rear sides,

For eg:
                          
                 y|
                  |
                  |
           -------+-------
                  |o x
                  |
                  |

rather than.,

          y+-------------+
           | |
           | |
           | |
           |o |
           | |
           | |
           +-------------+
                  o x

is there any example for that, which I couldn't find ncl website.?
