Hi Basit,
If the latitudes and longitudes of your ECMWF data are 2-dimensional,
then you should attach them as lat2d/lon2d attributes to your msl array.
If g0_lat_1/g0_lon_2 are 2-dimensional, change this:
msl&g0_lat_1 = g0_lat_1
msl&g0_lon_2 = g0_lon_2

to this:
msl@lat2d = g0_lat_1
msl@lon2d = g0_lon_2

If the latitude and longitude arrays are not 2-dimensional: Are you
getting any warning messages? Is the data on a special map projection?

If the above does not help let ncl-talk know.. Adam
